Natural History Museum

The Sanya Natural History Museum officially opened to the public on September 9, 2007。The exhibition hall covers an area of 2,400 square meters and is renovated and designed by the Beijing Natural History Museum。The museum's collection includes what UNESCO has called "the most astonishing discovery of the 20th century"—Paleontological fossils from Jehol in western Liaoning；And the first flower in the world——Liaoning ancient fruit；the ancestor of birds——Confuciusornis sanctus；treasure of the museum——Over 2,000 exhibits, including precious paleontological fossils from all over the country such as the Sanya pterosaur, as well as unique local flora and fauna specimens from Hainan, are on display，Among them, there are more than 800 national treasure-level fine works，It is a modern museum that integrates viewing, exhibition, collection, scientific research, and science popularization education。

The white building is the Sanya Natural History Museum，It is the only museum of paleontological fossils in Hainan and also a national science popularization and education base. The museum exhibits paleontological fossils dating back 140 million years, primarily focusing on dinosaur fossils。The museum exhibits to us the evolutionary history of life on Earth，treasure of the museum“Sanya Pterosaur”In the third exhibition hall, everyone is free to visit upon returning。
