Duke of Zhou's Stone Boat

Step into theDongtian，Tracking Dongtian's“originating artifact”。The Zhou Gong Stone Boat, with a length of 4.5 meters and a tail width of 1.9 meters, is the oldest stone scenic spot in the area. With a history spanning over 830 years since its development in 1187 AD, it serves as a historical witness to the Daoist Caves and can be regarded as the "originating artifact" of the Daoist Caves。The stone boat is engraved with the handwriting of the county magistrate Zhou Kang: "Zhou Kang of Hailing, in collaboration with county official Wang Pei, built the stone boat. Zhou Picheng, a neighboring general, came to inspect the stone boat on the ninth day of the Bingwu month during the Chunxi era. He was amazed by the natural wonders of the landscape, which can be considered the most remarkable scenery in the coastal region." The inscription was made in the 13th year of the Chunxi era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1186 AD)。This also attracted literati and scholars in ancient times who came here out of admiration and left many compliments。
